The Colden Common Shed is open to both men and women over 18 years old and is located just off the main road in Colden Common, Hampshire. We are a registered charity run by the members to provide a workshop and social centre for the members.

Our 'shed' comprises 3 buildings, a social shed, a workshop and a storage shed. The workshop Shed is just a larger version of the typical man's shed in the garden, a place to feel at home and pursue practical interests with a high degree of autonomy. The social shed provides a relazed area with a kitchenette and seating, as well as a work area for model making or similar crafts.

Our Sheds offer these facilities to its members where they can share the tools and resources they need to work on projects of their own choosing at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive venue.

These Sheds are places of skill sharing and informal learning, of individual pursuits and community projects, of purpose, achievement and social interaction. The aims of our Shed are to provide a safe and welcoming environment where members can meet to:

● Socialise

● Undertake projects jointly or individually for the benefit of the Group, the local community, charities or themselves

● Share experience and skills

● Learn new skills

Whichever activities are pursued, the essence of The Shed is not the building, but the network of friendships between the members. We have a membership which covers many levels of skills and who are keen to pass on knowledge to the less experienced in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

We are always looking for donations of specialised tools and wood for reuse in projects. If you can help please let us know.
